President Yang pays a fieldwork to Hunan Province
From September 26th to 27th, 2021, President of Shanghai Institute for International Strategic Studies (SIISS) Yang Jiemian paid his visit to Hunan Province to investigate on the provincial foreign affairs work. President Yang visited the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and held an in-depth talk with local officers on how the regional foreign affairs work could better serve the nation’s overall diplomacy and the landscape of Hunan’s economic and social development, especially on the issue of the China-Africa cooperation. Officers including Director Xu Zhengxian, Deputy Director Ye Jingsong, and Second-Class Inspector Liu Tong kept their accompanies.
During President Yang’s stay in Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, he put principal attention to the Civil Diplomacy issue. Both sides expressed themselves on the new challenges and opportunities of the “Big Diplomacy” and “Big Overseas Chinese Issues”. Secretary Huang Fang and Vice President of the Federation attended the activities.
When President Yang Visited the Malanshan Innovation Park, he walked by the exact route as President Xi Jinping walked before. He also attended the colloquium on Works of Returned Overseas Chinese, discussing the question like how should returned overseas youth start their own business.
